The Omniplex Bioracer TLI road race was held on the 28/4/13. Dave Berry was 3rd overall in the under 50s race and first in the senior category. Keith Jones was 6th overall in the under 50s race and 2nd in the M2 category. Steve Molyneux was 10th overall in the under 50s race and 2nd in the B category.

29/5/13 – 5 miles along Clatterbridge Road (HQ layby by Benty Heath Lane)

19/6/13 – 10 miles at Pulford (HQ Straight Mile)

03/07/13 – 10 miles at Pulford (HQ Straight Mile)

17/7/13 – 5 miles along Clatterbridge Road (HQ layby by Benty Heath Lane)

Entry to the league is £18 (cheques to be made payable to BNECC). Private trials £3 for seniors and £2 for juniors.

The 2nd race of the national mountain bike XC series was held in Cornwall on Sunday (28/4/13). Craig Rogers was 6th in the under 14s event and was first of the “first year” under 14s. Craig also overtook some of the under 16s who had started ahead of him!

The North West youth circuit championships were held in Southport on Saturday (27/4/13). Max Spedding was 12th in a strong field in the Youth A boys category. Nicole Clarke was 2nd in the Youth C girls category, narrowly missing a win. New BNECC member, Andrew Clarke, was 4th in the Youth E category.

Max Spedding, Louise Colyer and Charlie Byrne raced at Litherland last Wednesday. Max was 2nd in the Youth A boys race, Louise 1st in the Youth A girls (only girl in this category) with Charlie 2nd in the Youth E boys. The results so far after 3 events show Max and Jack Hulme 2nd and 3rd in the Youth A boys, Louise 1st in the Youth A girls (only girl in this cat) and Charlie 2nd in his category. Overall results after 3 races

The 3rd race in the Welsh mountain bike series was held at Builth Wells on Sunday. Rob Rogers (BNECC) won the juniors event even though he was 30 seconds down until the last lap. Rob’s brother Craig was 4th in the under 14s event. Nicole Clarke was 1st girl in the under 12s category.

Sunday’s TLI road race was held at Audlem. BNECC’s Dave Berry (senior), Keith Jones (M2) and Steve Molyneux (45-49) all took part in the road race. Keith Jones won the M2 race, with Steve Molyneux getting 3rd in his category. Dave Berry in his first road race finished 6th in the senior category winning the bunch sprint.

Round 3 of the North Wales MTB series was held at Betws-y-coed on Sunday 14th April. Nicole Clarke was the only rider from BNECC competing in this event. A great result for Nicole who won the under 12s girls event and was 3rd over all in the under 12s event.

Two youth members of BNECC rode at Marsh tracks on the 10th April. Craig Rogers was 2nd in the Youth B boys category, just beaten on the line in a tight sprint. Nicole Clark won the under 12 girls category and was also 2nd overall in the Youth C category.
