Round 6 of the Marsh track race series was held last Wednesday (7/5). Lewis Ball won the 4th cat race. As a result of the win Lewis has now become a 3rd cat. Nicole Clarke won the under 14 girls race (only girl) with Andrew Clarke 3rd in the under 10s race.

The PSW crit around Port Sunlight was held on Sunday afternoon (11/5). Keith Jones clearly won the senior race in the bunch sprint. In the same race Stuey Hannah was 22nd and Lewis Ball (junior) was 24th.  In the under 16s race Danny Harrison was 13th, Craig Rogers won the under 14s race with George Higgins 3rd, Nicole Clarke 4th (1st girl) and Max Moss 6th. In the under 12s race, Oliver Nickson & Adam Smith were 10th and 11th respectively. Nathan Smith won the under 10s race.

The third race of the TLI Dave Astles Memorial Cheshire RR Series was held on Tuesday evening at the Withington circuit (6/5). Mike Garner was 4th in the under 40s race and Keith Jones 5th in the 40-54 race. Results of both races can be found here.

The 5th race in the Litherland circuit league was held on Wednesday (7/5). BNECC resullts as follows:

• Max Spedding (PH-MAS cycling/BNECC honorary member – junior) – 2nd in elite/1/2 category.
• Max Moss – 6th in the Youth B boys category.
• Lizzie McDermott – 2nd in the Youth B girls category.
• Connor Larkin – 7th in the Youth D boys category.
• Charlie Byrne – 1st in the Youth E boys category.

The 2nd race in the TLI Dave Astles Memorial Cheshire RR Series was held on Tuesday (29/4). Mike Garner rode in the under 40s event with Scott Smith and Stuey Hannah in the 40-54 race.

In the under 40s race Mike Garner successfully broke away from the main bunch on the first lap with Steve Fidler (Dave Hinde cycles). The pair stayed away for the remainder of the race. Steve Fidler won the final sprint with Mike gaining 2nd place. Results can be found here.

In the 40-54 race Scott ended up in a crash and didn’t finish the race. Stuey finished in the bunch.

The fourth race in the Litherland circuit league was held on Wednesday (30/4). Results as follows for BNECC members:

• Max Spedding (PH – MAS Cycling/BNECC honorary member – junior) 4th in the E/1/2 category.
• Lewis Ball (junior) 13th in the 3/4 category.
• Dickie Morris 7th in the boys Youth A category.
• Max Moss 4th in the boys Youth B category.
• Lizzie McDermott 1st in the girls Youth B category.
• Connor Larkin 8th in the boys Youth D category.
• Charlie Byrne 1st in the boys Youth E category.

The first race in the TLI Dave Astles Memorial Cheshire RR Series was held at the Withington circuit on the 22 April. In the 40-54 category BNECC members Keith Jones and Scott Smith rode. Keith Jones was 3rd with Scott Smith gaining 9th place. Full results can be found here.

The 3rd round of the Litherland circuit league was held on Wednesday (23/4). A number of BNECC riders raced – results below:

• Lewis Ball (junior) was 11th in the 3/4 category
• Dicky Morris was 5th in the boys cat A group.
• Max Moss 7th in the boys cat B group.
• Lizzie McDermott 2nd in the girls cat B group.

The BNECC 22 hilly TT was held on Good Friday (18/04). The weather conditions were good with little wind which resulted in some very good times. Keith Murray (Ferryhill Wheelers) won the event with 47.56. Full results can be found here.

The Stone Wheelers TLI Road Race was held on Sunday (20/4) at the Swynnerton Circuit. Mike Garner, Steve Molyneux, Stuey Hannah and Scott Smith all rode in the under 50s race. Mike Garner ended up in a break after the first lap. The break stayed away from the main bunch for the remainder of the race. With about five miles to go two riders broke away from the break and stayed away. Will Corden (Lyme road club) won the race. Mike Garner got 3rd place winning the sprint in the remainder of the break group. Steve Molyneux was 8th with Stuey Hannah 19th. Results can be found here.
